Essentialy the thought is

1, Check your reach for the clutch pedal ( all the way down )
2, make sure your seating position is comfortable,
3, you can see the relevent view in all 3 mirrors
4, head restraint is set for maximum protection ( and any passengers )
5, reach the steering wheel comfortably ( 10 to 2 )
6, Seatbelt ( and all passengers )

Moving Away
P . O . M.

1, Prepare 2,Observe 3,Move
1, Clutch , Gear , Gas , Biting Point
2, 5 point check including Blind Spot
3, Move if its safe ( Never make another vehicle change speed or direction )

M.S.P.S.G.L.
Preparation for any type of Road Junction ( inc roundabouts )
Mirror x 2 , Signal, Position, Speed, Gear, Look ( speed before Gear )
change slightly for Roundabouts
Look becomes Gap and Go ( prepare early progress safely )

Is it a safe gap to go ? ( if you could walk across you can drive across )
